The Ethiopian Geophysical Union International (ETGUI) will hold its fourth webinar of 2026 on June 6. The webinar will be held from 8:00-9:00 AM PST (11:00 AM -12:00 PM EST and 6:00-7:00 PM Ethiopian Time).

The webinar, titled “Studying Abroad: Essential Strategies,” is designed for students aspiring to pursue education abroad. The session will feature a panel discussion followed by a Q&A, led by three ETGUI members: Dr. Sinafekesh Girma, Mekdelawit Deribe, and Meklit Berihun Melesse.

The panel will explore key topics including the application process, strategies for securing admission, financial considerations and funding challenges, cultural transition and adjustment, and academic as well as professional development. Drawing from their personal experiences, the speakers will share valuable insights into both the opportunities and challenges of studying abroad.
